Uniforms

NZDF personnel in Afghanistan. WN 05-0211-01.

Soldier in DPM on exercise. We have a number of different uniforms that we wear for different occasions, depending upon the nature and location of our duty.  When a soldier joins the army he/she is issued with all the equipment that will be needed to conduct basic training, and then for normal duties once initial training is complete.  It is the responsibility of the soldier to maintain this equipment in a fit and serviceable state at all times.

When we deploy on overseas missions we are issued further clothing to ensure that we are able to operate effectively and safely in whatever environment we are deployed to, and this includes cold, tropical or desert conditions.
