Traditionally a brass band, it has incorporated into its ranks a complete rhythm section which means our band can broaden its repertoire to keep up with modern music.

The band includes a number of smaller ensembles for specific audiences and has performed at Arts Festivals, Wine and Food Festivals, Charity events and school and public concerts.

Internationally, the NZ Army Band has earned its reputation as one of the finest marching bands in the world and this reputation is upheld through rigorous drills and rehearsals.

The band has a rigorous schedule and its calendar is often fully booked at least a year out.
