NZ Army Band marching off the Parade Ground at Trentham Army Camp. (WN-07-0003-37).

Soldier musicians have a special function, as their core duty is to perform at State and Ceremonial occasions. In most cases applicants are required to undertake an audition.

Currently an applicant can enlist directly into the NZ Army Band without undertaking a 12 week Basic Military Training Course in Waiouru (unlike all other recruits into the Army). However you will be required to pass modules of a Military Training Course at some stage.

Applications can be made to:NZ Army musicians in action.
