If you have current or recent previous full time military experience the recruitment procedure is as follows:

Begin the application process by completing our Online Application. This will enable us to conduct initial screening for suitability.

If your skills and experience are suitable you will be invited to:

• Revisit your Online Application Form and complete further questions,
• Send us a range of supporting documentation, and
• Undergo an interview.

If you are successful you will be sent a Provisional Offer Of Service, which will facilitate your Residency application. The Offer will include the specific details of your employment and is provisional on you:

• Passing a physical medical examination,
• Gaining the necessary security clearances, and
• Gaining either Permanent NZ Residency or NZ Citizenship.

Once you have met all the required criteria you will be sent a Formal Offer of Service and be enlisted into the NZ Army.

If you have no previous full time military experience the recruitment procedure is as follows:

1. Complete the Online Application Form on this website, to enable us to conduct initial screening for suitability.
2. You will be invited to send us a range of supporting documentation for further assessment.
3. If your skills and experience are potentially suitable you will be required to travel to New Zealand to complete all of the selection procedures. The length of time you'll be required to stay will depend upon whether you wish to be considered for soldier or officer entry.
