The Conditions of Service for overseas personnel who are enlisted into the NZDF are contained in Defence Force Orders. These provisions pertain only to personnel with current or recent previous military service. Non-New Zealand citizens who wish to join the NZ Army with no previous military experience must first meet our Residency criteria and must travel to NZ for the selection process at their own expense.
The Conditions of Service for overseas personnel will be provided to individual applicants during the recruitment process, normally in conjunction with a provisional offer of service.
Recruiting staff are able to provide further information during the recruitment process.
