Army Careers Experience (ACE)

Each year the NZ Army hosts students in Years 11, 12 or 13 during the school holidays, who are interested in a career with us. Students live in a military camp for a week, get to see and talk with soldiers from different trades and get some exposure to other aspects of army life like where we live, our equipment, army food, and a bit of physical training!

The Army Careers Experience (ACE) is designed for students to gain an understanding of the various career options within the NZ Army by providing a realistic and honest representation of trades and careers options as well as lifestyle to allow a better informed career choice.

There are three ACE's held each year, hosted by our different Recruiting Regions. The 2010 dates are as follows:

  • Northern Region ACE (Waiouru Military Camp): 05 - 09 Apr 10
  • Southern Region ACE (Burnham Military Camp): 12 - 16 July 10
  • Wellington and Central Region ACE (Trentham Military Camp): 03 - 08 October 10

If you are interested in attending please see your Careers Advisor at school and complete an application form.

Places are generally limited and we will be required to select individuals to attend.  Priority is generally given to people considering joining the NZ Army and those that meet our recruitment standards.
