The general public is to be advised that a NZ Army exercise will be conducted in the Oteake Conservation Park on and including 3 - 13 Nov 2011.
The general public is to be advised that a NZ Army exercise will be conducted in the Oteake Conservation Park on and including 3 - 13 Nov 2011.
The exercise will involve personnel from the 2nd / 1st Battalion, Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment and Queen Alexandra’s Mounted Rifles moving in the Conservation Park by vehicle and on foot by day and night to conduct live firing activities in the area from Mt Buster north to the Otematata River and also in the area of the Kye Burn track, between the Danseys Pass Road and the Buster Diggings.
In the interest of public safety, access to these areas will be restricted when live firing activities are being conducted. There will be Army personnel present in the area from 1-15 Nov as the exercise is set up and cleaned up.
