CA MAJ GEN Gardiner presents WO1 Daniel Broughton with the New Zealand Meritorious Service Award. WO1 Broughton was an inaugural member of the Army Rugby League team, and has served in the Solomon’s and Bougainville. His exemplary service record provided an excellent role model and displayed the best attributes of the New Zealand Soldier. Only 20 serving solders may be awarded this medal at any one time.
