Tribute 08

Military veterans who served in the Vietnam War finally got their official welcome home in Wellington at Tribute08.

The veterans were welcomed to Wellington by Mayor Kerry Prendergast at a ceremony held in Civic Square which was followed by a Beat Retreat performed by the NZ Army.

An Honour Parade was held in the Wellington CBD. The veterans and their families marched from Civic Square to Parliament where they were greeted by the Prime Minister Helen Clark.
