Auckland Marathon
The Auckland Marathon being held on 28 Oct 07 is an annual event and the largest marathon in NZ attracting over 10,000 competitors. The Marathon and Half Marathon events start at Devonport, with the route crossing the harbour bridge and finishing at Victoria Park, Auckland.
This year there will be a large NZ Army presence at this event with the aim of showcasing the Army as a viable career option to both competitors and supporters alike. NZ Army Recruiting will have several displays and interactive challenges set up at Victoria Park from 0700 hrs - 1600 hrs on race day and approximately 20 Army soldiers and officers will be competing in various events. Come along and see what a Pinzgauer 6 x 6 Light Operational Vehicle and Unimog truck look like close up. See if you have what it takes to complete the Army challenges on the day!!! Army Recruiters and Army personnel will also be on hand all day to talk about the numerous careers available within the Army.
