  • Entry to Camp and Security Requirements
    • Tickets must be displayed to gain entry to the camp. Whilst in Linton Camp visitors are to wear the complimentary lanyard and ticket at all times (less during the evening function)
    • Entry to the camp is via the gate off Camp Road as marked on the enclosed map. There will be no entry to Linton Camp through the main gate.
    • If utilising the bus service each person will be required to show their ticket to the driver. Guests utilising the bus service are also requested to make a gold coin donation for each trip travelling on the bus.
    • Access is permitted only to the areas of the camp marked on the map found in your ticket pack.
  • Transportation and Car Parking
    • A bus service will be provided between key locations in Palmerston North and the camp.
    • The Bus timetable will also be prominently displayed in the Palmerston North RSA.
    • The buses will commence from Palmerston North at 0815 hrs for the day activities and at 1445 hrs for the parade and evening function.
    • Buses back to Palmerston North will pick up from the Linton Camp Conference centre.
    • For those travelling in their own vehicles please only park in the designated areas which will be clearly sign posted. Please ensure your vehicles are not left unlocked.
  • Facilities
    • Tea and Coffee will be available throughout the day in the Conference Centre.
    • Several Toilets are located around the unit lines. These will be clearly signposted.
    • Food will be available for purchase throughout the day. This will include Asian Food Stall products.
    • A Battalion shop will be selling a range of Unit and Anniversary items throughout the day. An Eft-Pos facility will be available. (Please note we do NOT have cash out or credit card facilities)
  • Medical Emergencies: Medical facilities will be located in HQ 1 RNZIR during the day and at the function venue at night. If these are required please ask any uniformed personnel for assistance.
  • Emergency Situations: In case of an emergency please follow the directions of the uniformed personnel who have been briefed and trained to deal with any unforeseen situations.
  • Powhiri: The Powhiri will commence at 1000 hours sharp
  • Parade
    • Previous unit members are invited to participate in the parade. This will involve marching on after the Battalion and marching past the Colours and ranks before marching off.
    • Please remember to bring a warm coat, blankets etc. A coat and hat check facility will be available at the function.
    • We encourage previous unit members to wear their medals for the parade.
    • At the end of the Parade please follow the sign posted path down towards the hangers for the evening function. Ushers will be in location to guide guests to the function venue.
  • Function
    • At entry to the function you will be required to present your ticket. You will then be issued vouchers for two drinks of your choice.
    • A professional photographer is available for formal photos in front of the Unit Colours.
    • We will be operating the bars on a ticket basis. Tickets can be purchased from the two desks located in the marquee. Please note we will be operating on a cash or Eft-Pos basis, we do NOT have cash out or credit card facilities.
  • Liability for Loss or Damaged Property
    • Please have a safe and enjoyable experience at Linton Military Camp. The NZDF accepts no liability for loss or damage to property while in the Defence Area. Please take care of your belongings.
