Our ethos is the characteristic spirit, and belief, in our Army. It incorporates two elements that have stood the test of time in peace and war: loyalty and honour.

Loyalty is reflected in the solemn oath of allegiance to the Crown and New Zealand Government. 

Honour is reflected by our high standard of behaviour, which protects our proud reputation and respects our military heritage.
