The intention of these web pages are to permanently preserve our softball history, which has never been done before in our (almost) 60 years of Army softball.

There are a large number of past and present players, officials and families who have been involved in some way with New Zealand Army softball who take an interest in what we have accomplished and what we are going to do in the future. Therefore, we hope that you will enjoy reading these web pages.

The About Us page provides an insight into the Army Softball Committee, Code chairperson, Patron, Inter-Regional/Inter-Services tournaments and Army softball culture.


Current Status

The Current Status lists the New Zealand Defence Force softball tournament results, final rankings and of course the championship winning team photographs.


News archive

The News section is for information from the various tournaments played within Army and NZ Defence Force.


Honours and Awards

The Honours and Awards lists Army softball service personnel and Army civilian employees who have represented a New Zealand National or Provincial team at various levels. It also lists Army personnel who have received and or nominated for softball orientated Honours and Awards from the Army or NZ Defence Force.


Image Gallery

The Image Gallery is a collection of Regular Force Cadets, Inter-District, Inter-Regional, Inter-Service and numerous miscellaneous softball tournaments and individual photographs.


Combined Services

The Combined Services is the "Tournament Team" selected at the completion of the New Zealand Inter-Services Tournament from players and officials of the Royal New Zealand Navy, New Zealand Army, Royal New Zealand Air Force and the New Zealand Police teams.


60th Anniversary

The NZ Army Softball 60th Anniversary Journal has been available to the public since 2009. The production of this Journal was a follow on from the Army softball history preservation project, which gathered and permanently recorded the NZ Army softball history on the internet.



Please be aware that these softball web pages are not resourced to be monitored or edited on a daily basis. A representative from the Army Softball Committee will endeavour to effect changes or upload new material as they come to hand.
