Army Leave Centres (ALC) provide holiday homes at popular holiday destinations and have 30 units at 9 locations throughout New Zealand.
The ALC units provide NZ Army, eligible Ex-Army Regular Force and Reservists, NZDF members, and associated service organisations (Fire Service, NZ Police and RSA) and whanau access to quality holiday accommodation at a moderate cost.
The Government of New Zealand (GONZ) directed COVID-19 alert response moves to alert Level 2 from midnight 13 May 2020. All ALC will re-open from Friday 15 May 2020 and the Level 2 situation will be closely monitored.
Once open, all ALC users are to observe GONZ and Ministry of Health guidance whilst travelling and visiting the facilities. In particular the need for social and physical distancing (outside of your current bubble) is important and is to be observed at all ALC facilities including gatherings of no more than 10 people.
Do not travel if you or your family are feeling unwell. Guests are to bring hand sanitiser products and be extra vigilant when cleaning ALC units especially high touch areas like kitchen benches, all door handles, all switches, TV remotes, all taps and toilet/shower areas.
